Yikes! I'm having mixed emotions about the fact that 2013 is old news. In fact, if I had to sum up this past year, it was unstable and scary, yet beautiful. In 2013, I experienced challenging times which ultimately resulted in a great deal of self-growth. Therefore, I cannot complain. Somehow, I managed to find time to create thethirdcultureblog. I'm so proud of it! At times/all the time I doubted its success. I honestly never predicted that it would receive the type of reception that it did, and for that I am truly grateful. I have some great friends with great minds and I thank them for their support. I also appreciate the meaningful criticism from viewers. I am well aware that the content of my blog is far from perfect in fact, it never will be, but I'm learning. In 2014, I have plans for the blog to be even better and I hope that you guys stick around for it! ♥

Hello guys and girls! You can finally breathe a sigh of relief, it's Friday! Of course I saved the best for last. Friday's Fashion Favorite of 2013 is Pop Princess Miley Cyrus. Miley took 2013 by storm in the boldest, most badass way. She has a tough demeanor, which I love yet she still appears to be down to earth. Gotta love a Southern girl! She successfully solidified her new pop persona by releasing a versatile album and revamping her image. The media couldn't get enough of her. However, I absolutely love her new look, I wish that I had an ounce of her edginess. Miley looked stunning in Emilio Pucci while promoting "We Can't Stop" at Sirius XM Studios in New York City earlier this year. She paired her pretty Pucci two-piece with a pair of white pumps and scanty accessories. The girl's got taste! And an even greater personality to match.

Hope you all had a wonderful holiday! I'm still recovering from a food coma at the moment. However, the show must go on! The next Fashion Favorite of 2013 is Kenyan beauty Lupita Nyong’o. Nyong'o turned heads at the “12 Years a Slave” premiere in Los Angeles this year. She is on the verge of emerging as both an actress and a fashion icon. Impressive! She werked that Miu Miu dress like it was handmade for her. Nyong'o managed to look so elegant yet very fun and fresh. Her soft make-up choice was gorgeous enough to complement the dress without distracting from her beauty. If you still haven't seen her powerful performance in "12 Years A Slave," I would encourage you to do so!

Merry Christmas eve everyone! Hope your shopping is coming along fashionably well. Let's keep the ball rolling with Tuesday's Fashion Favorite of 2013 featuring upcoming fashion icon Kim Kardashian. Over the course of the year, I have grown to adore Kim Kardashian's fashion sense (hence the 11/8 Friday Fav featuring Kimmy.) Although it was difficult to pinpoint one look, I found her look at the Mademoiselle C Cocktail party in France to be my favorite. Kim absolutely radiated in Givenchy, causing quite a stir in the media. Hatersss. Per usual, I loved her dark lip and blonde do. Who knew that post pregnancy could look that glam!

Happy Monday! To conclude the year on a fabulous note, I decided to dedicate this week to some of 2013's most fashionable moments. What better way to commence the week other than featuring rapper Nicki Minaj. Nicki looked absolutely stunning at the 2013 Met Gala in a sexy Tommy Hilfiger gown with big blonde hair and a deep lip. I absolutely loved this look..it certainly signified a transition to her less hectic more mature look which I found quite commendable.

Happy Friday guys and girls! While I was busy recovering from the outcome of my final grades, Bajan beauty Rihanna announced that she would be the new face of world renowned fashion house Balmain. RiRi shared several previews from the Spring 2014 campaign via Instagram with captions like, "BALMAIN get it through your skull!!! Lol" and "#MommaImadeIt." It's no secret that the pop princess is feeling herself, but who wouldn't? She had an amazing run this year and managed to capitalize from her edgy and versatile image through numerous fashion and beauty campaigns. Admit it, the girl has impeccable taste. Get it Ri!

Yikes, it's Tuesday! I apologize for the delay. Unfortunately, I was cyber stranded yesterday with no wi-fi..but I definitely didn't forget about you guys. For this week's edition of Must-have Monday, I had to share these badass booties. Booties are by far my fav piece this season. They're sleek and lack the heaviness of a typical boot. I love seeing them paired with bf jeans and kimonos. Oddly enough, booties channel that sluggish look that seems to appear stylish on some days. The other day I lucked up on a pair of fringe booties for $42 from NastyGal. Other shops like H&M, Forever XXI and Chinese Laundry carry them for some unbeatable prices. The second, third, and fourth pair pictured above (my favs) are from NastyGal. Guess these retailers are finally in the holiday spirit.

King Bey secretly steals the year with self-titled visual album, Beyoncé

Happy Friday 13th you guys! Life just got a little better for the Beyhive as my birthday twin Beyoncé shared her 5th studio album early Friday morning. Can you say unexpected?! Fans raved over the visual album that is exclusively available on iTunes to diminish the possibility of a leak (such a smart move). Rumor has it that the album will be available as a hard copy next week. But that definitely did not discourage her fans from purchasing all 32 tracks which includes stunning visuals and a versatile assortment of tracks. The album possesses a very different genre than what I was expecting. Christmas just came early for me..I can't stop listening! Mrs. Carter did it again..

On Tuesday Ciara shared some fierce shots and personal outtakes from her recent cover shoot with Pulp magazine. Queen Ci stunned her Instagram followers by featuring looks that incorporated plenty of black, buckle sandals, and even an adorable Mickey Mouse cap. Nonetheless, each look managed to channel a typical day in the life of this fashionista, which made the images even better if you ask me. Not to mention, Ci manages to maintain an awesome model physique. I'm certainly feeling her style as well as her new lifestyle with rapper fiancé Future. I can't help but wonder what projects she has in store for the new year..
